Thomas Martinez is Rockin' for Kids

The Tahlequah Public Schools Foundation is hosting Thomas Martinez and his band the Wild Frontier with special guest Tahlequah High School Grad Matt Farinelli and his band Austin Cobb at the Tahlequah High School Track on April 26, 2012.  The concert begins at 7:30.

Following the concert, Martinez will also attend a VIP event at the Betsy B Ranch hosted by Chris and Brian Berry.  The VIP event will raise additional funds for the Tahlequah Public Schools Foundation.

"I'm doing this for the kids," said Martinez.  "I see so many needs in the school and I just want to do all I can to help."

Oklahoma native, Martinez describes himself as a "rocker in a country boy's body" and his rapidly growing network of fans strongly agrees. Fans flock to concert halls and many of country music's largest night clubs across the United States and Canada whenever they see his name in lights.

Martinez is a self-made artist who has a flare for turning any tune into a heart pounding, foot stomping, guitar drivin' good time. Whether on stage in front of a crowd of a few hundred or with crowds numbering in the thousands, Martinez and his band Wild Frontier never fail to deliver an unforgettable concert.  Sharing the stage with such names as Brooks & Dunn, Joe Nichols, Keith Urban, Chris Cagle, Phil Vassar, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, and Tanya Tucker has given Martinez the time and experience necessary to clearly define his sound and perspective as an artist.

His unique approach to music carries into his work as a business man off the stage. This gift of balancing both has not gone unnoticed. Sponsorships now include Roper Footwear & Apparel, Miller Brewing Co., Boulder Creek Guitars, Wedgie Guitar Picks, and Redbull. With an average of 150 shows per year, Roper keeps Martinez and the Wild Frontier looking sharp while Miller makes every stage appearance special.

Fans can catch Martinez live on Channel 8 at 8 a.m., April 23 where he will perform and talk about the upcoming concert for Tahlequah Public Schools Foundation.  Tickets may be purchased in Tahlequah at Hit-N-Run and Paceline Cyclery.
