Science and Social Studies Kits: Dear TPSF,

 We have used the kits continuously in all three 2^nd grade classrooms! Not only do they add wonderful extensions to our units of study, but also great hands-on activities that help solidify the harder concepts being taught. Our students also use them when completing projects for I Wonder Workshop. The students choose a topic that interests them and they research it independently. The end goal of I Wonder Workshop is that the students share their knowledge in a unique and informative way to our class. Many of the tubs have been extra resources not only in the research, but also in the presentations! The science and social studies tubs have definitely filled a need in our curriculum and our classrooms!

I Can With iPads: Dear TPSF,

With the introduction of additional iPads in the classroom, more children are able to access the applications to reinforce the lessons and ideas that are being taught.  More children can access knowledge through their different learning styles.

Choir Robes for the Masses: Dear TPSF,

Win Big at Glow Golf 2015

 Congratulations

Coach Rappe won teeth whitening from the generous office of Rouse Dentistry.

Matt Cloud won a beer brewing class courtesy of The Flying Weasel. 

 Kevin Dudley played on the winning team and walked away with a big-screen tv courtesy of DIS. (Of course, Mark Dobbins WON the prize. Kevin claimed he was taking it to him!)

Greg Jackson had a lucky night, too. Not only did he win one of the televisions from DIS, but he also won the fall foliage tour in the new medevac helicopter.

Congrats to TPSF!

An Outstanding Program Award and a check for $1000 was presented to Tahlequah Public Schools Foundation at the Fall Forum held by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence in Norman today. 

TPSF was honored for their Glow Golf Event--a twist on the traditional golf tournament fundraiser because it is played in the dark with lighted golf balls, flashlights, black lights, and neon lighted flags.

Board members Lucas Foster and Brandi Barnett presented a session that spotlighted how to host your own Glow Golf tournament.

It was a day filled with affirmation that we are doing something right in Tahlequah and lighting the path towards excellence. We can't do it without our community. Thank you!
